Life coaching workshop

Pastoral care of those who struggle with unwanted homosexual feelings often leaves the supporter floundering to help. We feel unqualified to deal with the past and at a loss to help the person move forward, especially in the depth of their struggles. Life coaching is a set of tools and techniques that have been used successfully by businesses, the public sector and the 2008 British Olympic team to empower people to set goals and move forward. Tools such as Neuro-linguistic programming, Appreciative Inquiry, Santification Coaching, Goal Setting and Cognitive Behavioural Coaching fit in with the religious basis of repentance - recognising our actions, understanding the causes, resolving to change our behaviour - and equip the pastor to support the struggler as they grow in wholeness.

Agate stand for Applying Gender Affirmative Therapy and Education. It exists to supply church leaders, pastoral care workers, counsellors, life coaches and psychological therapists to help those with unwanted feelings of same sex attraction and want to change to do so.
